Giving / Tithe Offering

Giving in the form of tithes and offerings is an important part of Christianity. Tithing is frequently mentioned in the Bible, like when Moses said, “From what you have, take an offering for the Lord. Everyone who is willing is to bring to the Lord an offering of gold, silver and bronze.” (Exodus 35:5)

FROM THE BIBLE

Returning tithe and offerings is mentioned several times throughout the Bible. For example, in Luke 21:1-4, a widow gave an offering of two copper coins at the temple, earning Jesus's recognition (see video).

Malachi 3:8-12 also shows us that returning a tithe is an act of worship, that we trust God to provide for us.
